Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports to QNA: FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 an Opportunity for All Arabs

Doha, April 27 (QNA) - The Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports Adnan Dirjal said that the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 will be a very important opportunity to bring the Arab countries together. Dirjal said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that the State of Qatar has made a great step in organizing this event in cooperation with the FIFA, especially in light of all Arab countries confirming their participation in the tournament. The Minister expressed his confidence in the ability of the State of Qatar to organize the Arab championship in a distinctive and successful manner in view of the material and human capabilities it possesses, as well as in light of the availability of high-level infrastructure and stadiums with best modern technology. The Minister expected that the Arab championship would witness strong competitions in light of the participation of all Arab countries, especially in light of the growth that most countries are witnessing, whether at the Asian or African level. The Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports stressed that his country's chances of winning the Arab title would be very difficult in light of the presence of big teams, expressing at the same time his confidence in all the players of the Iraqi team and their ability to present high levels and compete for the title. The Iraqi national team is the most winner of the Arab Cup, with four titles in 1964, 1966, 1985 and 1988, while Tunisia won the title of the inaugural edition in 1963, Egypt 1992, Morocco 2012, and Saudi Arabia was crowned twice in 1998 and 2002.
