Jet Ski World Championship: Qatar's Walid Al Sharshani Shines in First Day Races

Washington, October 11 (QNA) - Qatari rider Walid Al Sharshani excelled in the two races of the first day of professionals competitions in the second round of the 2021 Jet Ski world championship, currently held in Lake Havasu, US, with the participation of more than 500 rider from 35 countries. Al Sharshani ranked second in the overall standings. The strongest category (senior professionals) in the championship is witnessing participation of 35 riders who are the best and most famous in the world and they represent along with the Qatar, Kuwait, Japan, Belgium, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, Denmark, France, Thailand, Philippines, and Canada Al Sharshani presented high levels in today's races, as he managed to occupy third place in the first race, and second place in the second race, to take second place in the provisional general ranking table of the second round of the championship behind Kuwaiti rider Mohammed Burbea, who topped the lead, Belgian rider Jorge Casa and Denmark's Marcus Jorgensen came fourth, while Japan's John Ikuma completed the list of the top five. Al Sharshani, who has previously achieved many achievements in the Jet Ski world championships, seeks to give his best in the final two races (third and fourth) in order to snatch the lead and the title of the second round of the world championships, or at least maintain his position in the runner-up to reap the largest number of points to enhance his position in the general standings before the third and final round scheduled for next December in Bangkok (Thai King's Cup).
