Kahramaa Celebrates National Sports Day

Doha , February 13 (QNA) - Qatar s General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) revealed here on Monday the corporation's preparations for the national sports day upon the Emiri Decree No. 80 of 2011 , naming Tuesday in the second week of February each year as the State s National Sports Day. Chairman of Kahramaa Engineer Issa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari, said in a press release issued here today that Kahramaa values the sports and the athletes and encourages its employees to practice it stressing on the sports role in forming a healthy community capable of production and achieving developments to the state. He pointed out as well to the sports role in achieving Qatar's national vision of 2030 that Kahrmaa aims to achieve all its terms. Meanwhile Head of Public Relations and Communication Department at Kahramaa, Abdullah Anbar Al-Jassim announced that a committee was established to supervise the activities programme of the corporation during the prestigious Day. The participants were divided into three age groups, first group includes a category whose age ranged from 12-17 year, the second group ( 18 -3 0 year) and the third group (from 31 and over), according to a press release published by Kahrmaa's official website.
