Katara Beach Volleyball Cup 2021 Kicks Off Tomorrow

Doha, March 07 (QNA) - The fourth edition of the 4-star Katara Beach Volleyball Cup 2021 will kick off Monday. It is organized by Qatar Volleyball Association, in cooperation with the Katara, and under the supervision of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). More than 100 men's and women's teams from 28 countries will participate in the tournament which will come to a close on Friday. Qatar will be represented by four teams, which are of the Qatar (1) Cherif Yunis and Ahmed Tejan, the Qatar (2) Saif and Ziyad, and the Qatar (3) Issam and Abdullah, and the Qatar (4) Al Musalmani and Gusson. The organizing committee of the tournament completed today its preparations to host the major global event, as the technical meeting of the championship was held today during which the program of matches and technical matters were discussed with a reminder of the need to adhere to the procedures followed in the tournament. The organizing committee affirmed that the participating teams arrived in Doha to partake in the tournament which will be held under the safe bubble system. Medical swab was conducted for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and then teams went directly to the residence hotel. Countries participating include Qatar, Brazil, France, Austria, America, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, Russia, Italy, Spain, Estonia, Poland, Gambia, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Sweden, Denmark. Latvia, Czech, India, Canada, Greece, Germany, Japan, and Lithuania. The teams entered the "Safe bubble" until the end the world championship, as part of their preparations to compete in the tournament, which witnesses the participation of a large number of countries, as well as men's and women's teams.
