Kayak 4 Kuwait expedition in Bahrain

Manama, Nov. 27(BNA): The “Kayak 4 Kuwait” expedition arrived in Bahrain as part of a tour in the Arabian Gulf region. Led by Kuwaiti traveler Bashar Salim Al-Hunedi, the expedition aims at raising positive awareness about the importance of preserving marine life in the Arabian Gulf region. Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Dainah stressed support to “Kayak 4 Kuwait” expedition, hailing its mission which focuses on enhancing community awareness in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries. Addressing a press conference today, he said that one million oil barrels and more than 47,000 oil tankers pass through the Arabian Gulf waters annually. The team will wrap up its visit to Bahrain on Monday and head to Qatar as part of a regional tour.
