Kyrgyz swimmer Denis Petrashov wins silver medal at Youth Olympics

Kyrgyz swimmer Denis Petrashov became the silver medalist of the Summer Youth Olympic Games, which are held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the official website of the competition wrote. The 18-year-old swimmer began his performance on October 7 with a 100-meter breaststroke. In the semifinals, he showed a time of 1 minute 1.95 seconds, which allowed him to advance to the final round of the competition. In the fight for the medals Petrashov swam for 1 minute 1.34 seconds in the finals. The representative of China became the champion. Petrashov will participate in other categories: 50 m breaststroke and 200 m breaststroke.
