Leadership congratulated on global athletic victory

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowdar congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on Bahraini women athletes' winning third place and a bronze medal in the 42nd edition of the World Cross Country Championships, hailing the leadership's continuous support that provided ideal environment for our national teams to achieve such global athletic feats. The minister considered the latest athletic achievement as the result of the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, citing Bahrain national athletic team efforts and capacity of attaining this major international achievement. The minister pointed that the strategy endorsed by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Chairman of Bahrain Athletics Association in the management of administrative and technical aspects was the main cause behind this huge athletic accomplishment of winning the third place title globally, affirming that the Bahraini Athletics Association has recently capably boosted its accomplishments through various feats at various levels. The minister congratulated the women National Athletics Team members who participated in the international championship, citing their keenness and persistence and spectacular performance that ensured Bahrain's attaining such advanced global position.
