Lebanese National Team Arrives to Doha to Participate in 2021 FIFA Arab Cup Qualifications

Doha,June 20 (QNA) - The Lebanese national team aims to qualify for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 by facing Djibouti national team next Wednesday at Khalifa International Stadium in the qualifiers, to secure a spot in the 4th group, which includes Algeria and Egypt along with Sudan, who was the first team to qualify after beating Libya on Saturday 1-0. The Lebanese delegation arrived in Doha this evening, where its members were subject to a PCR test to detect the Coronavirus, and then moved to the residence to enter the health bubble that will continue until the departure date on June 25, according to the instructions of the Organizing Committee that prohibits teams from moving except for training and matches in implementation of the protocol Arab Cup Qualifiers. The mission included 21 players: Mahdi Khalil, Mustafa Matar, Ali Daher, Abbas Asi, Robert Alexander Malki, Qassem Al-Zein, Hassan Samih Shaito, Nour Mansour, Maher Sabra, Abdullah Aish, Hussein Munther, Hussein Al-Zein, Hassan Maatouq and Muhammad Ali Al-Dahini, Nader Matar, Majed Othman, Muhammad Haider, Hassan Muhanna, Haider Khreis, Hilal Al-Hilweh, and Ahmed Hejazy. Coach of the Lebanese national team Jamal Taha is counting on the readiness of his players after the qualifiers, as the team returned from Korea and rested for two days before resuming training last Wednesday in preparation for the Arab Cup qualifiers with the aim of qualifying and reaching the finals.
