Luka Bonacic takes charge of Zob Ahan

ISFAHAN,July 4(MNA) - Luka Bonacic was named as the new head coach of Zob Ahan football team. On Tuesday, the 58-year-old Croat replaced Zob Ahan temporary coach Mahmoud Yavari in the Isfahan based team. “I love the challenge, that’s why I’m here. I accepted the post since I believe that the team has the potential to improve once again,” Bonacic said. “I have no magic wand but I will do my best to get good results. Zob Ahan has so many young players and I really love working with the youngsters. We are going to build a good team for the upcoming season,” he added. Zob Ahan retained its spot in the Iran Professional League (IPL) courtesy of a 5-3 aggregate win over Pas in the relegation play-off last week. Bonacic has also worked at Iranian clubs, namely Foold, Esteghlal Ahvaz, Sepahan, Mes and Gostaresh.
