Macau Beats Mongolia 2-1 In Group B Match Of AFC Solidarity Cup

KUCHING (Sarawak, Malaysia), Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Macau edged Mongolia 2-1 in a AFC Solidarity Cup Malaysia 2016 Group B match at the Sarawak Stadium here Thursday night. Macau’s Nicholas Mario Tarrao turned hero as he scored both goals to help his team win the match 2-1. Tarroa opened accounts in the 13th minute but Mongolia’s Tuguldur Munkh-Erdene struck from an acute angle to equalise in the 28th minute. Both teams were tied 1-1 at half time. Macau came back from the break and started to dictate the pace before Torrao struck the winner to earn all three points for his team. Earlier, Laos edged Sri Lanka 2-1 in another Group B match at the same venue. Friday is a rest day but the competition will resume on Saturday with Timor Leste taking on Nepal in a Group A match at Stadium Negeri starting 7.30pm.
