Malaysia: Three Records Set At KL Tower International Sky Diving 2017
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) – Three records were set throughout the four-day KL Tower International Base Jump 2017 which started on Sept 29.
KL Tower chief executive officer Meor Shahril Anuar Ahmad Rathuan said the three records that were entered in the Malaysia Book of Records were for 'Most Number of Participants In A Base Jump Challenge' which involved 105 participants, 'First Rope Base Jump Challenge' and 'Highest Base Jump Challenge' held at a height of 300m.
"After having organised the event for 17 years, this is the best achievement for Menara KL (KL Tower) and will certainly serve as an inspiration to take the level of comeptition to another level," he told reporters after the closing ceremony, here Monday.
Meor Shahril earlier received three certificates from MBOR Senior Assistant Manager Mohd Alex Edward.
The four-day event saw base jumpers from all over the world including from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil and Canada showing their diving skills from the KL Tower Sky Deck situated at a height of 300m.
