Minister of Sports and Youth Honors Qatari Champions Participating in Arch to Arc Triathlon

Doha, July 31 (QNA) - HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali honored Qatari champions participating in the Arch to Arc Triathlon, the world's longest triathlon race that connects London and Paris, which was held from July 12 to 19. The honoring was attended by Advisor to HE the Minister of Sports and Youth and President of the Sports for All Federation Abdulrahman Musallam Al Dosari.
HE the Minister of Sports and Youth praised the efforts made by the Qatari team in their successful mission in the challenge, which embodies the extent of development reached by the Qatari sports, and highlights the outstanding capabilities of the Qatari youth and their ability to represent their country and reflect an honorable image of the Qatari sports in various sports forums and at all levels.
For their part, the members of the team participating in the race, consisting of Talal Al Emadi, Fahad Al Buainain and Abdulaziz Al Abdullah, praised the attention and care accorded by the Ministry of Sports and Youth to their historical participation in this global challenge, represented by the Qatar Sports for All Federation; stressing that the support provided to them to make their participation in the challenge successful represents a great incentive for them to participate in such global challenges and raise the name of Qatar in international sports forums.
The Qatari team was able to complete the Arch to Arc Triathlon, which has a total distance of 491 kilometers, in a record time of 69 hours and 20 minutes. The journey includes by running, swimming and cycling starting from the "Marble Arch" in London, to the "Arc de Triomphe" in Paris. (QNA)
