MONGOLIA AT WRESTLING ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Wrestlers of our men and women’s national teams have competed in the 2015 Asian Wrestling Championships which concluded this May 9 in Doha of Qatar. On the first day of the events, international master of sports E.Bekhbayar grabbed a gold medal in the men’s -57 kg contest. On the last day, B.Odonchimeg won a silver medal in the women’s 75 kg match by defeating opponents from China and South Korea. In the gold medal contest, she was beaten by a Japanese Hiroe Suzuki. Bronze medals went to B.Nomin (men’s 61 kg), G.Mandakhnaran (men’s 65 kg), P.Osokhbayar (men’s 86 kg) and E.Tsevegmid (women’s 63 kg). As the team results, the men took fourth place with 45 points, the women--fifth place. This year’s championship attracted 110 wrestlers from 23 countries.
