Mongolian mental team becomes second at world championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONSTAME/ The mental team of Mongolia with 10 members has taken the second place with 18 gold, 6 silver and 15 bronze medals at Hong Kong Open Memory championship, which ran September 28-30. The most successful athlete from Mongolia, where memory sport has been rapidly growing, was Ts.Bat-Erdene, who won gold medals in eight categories including 10 minute cards, 5 minute numbers, historic dates, spoken numbers. He became the overall champion at the junior category, earning 28th place--the highest among Mongolians--at the world ranking. Another Mongolian, B.Namuuntuul took the second place at the same group, with 2 gold, 6 silver and 1 bronze medals. She currently is 51th at the world ranking. The championship had kids, junior and adult categories, and 110 athletes from 11 countries competed in ten events in each age category.
