MONGOLIAN SKIER TO COMPETE AT SPRINT EVENT IN SOCHI

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian B.Ganbold is to compete Wednesday at men’s 1 km sprint free qualification, standing event in Sochi Paralympics. In this event, he will compete with 34 skiers from 15 countries to qualify into the semifinal and final rounds. Our skier will start 27th at local time 10:48. The only Mongolian in the Paralympics, Ganbold had already finished 14th among twenty in Men’s 20 km classic competition of cross country skiing Monday. On the last day of the Paralympics (Sunday), he will ski in 10 km standing event. By Wednesday, Russia is topping the medal list with 11 gold, 14 silver and nine bronze. Germany and Ukraine are at second and third places, respectively.
