Mongolians compete in world archery championship

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Men and women archery teams of Mongolia are competing in the 2013 edition of the Outdoor World Championship in the municipality of Belek, Turkey's Antalya province. According to individual qualification results, the Mongolians G.Gan-Erdene currently is the 11th, J.Gantugs 24th, and D.Baasanjav 99th from 146 athletes in the men's recurve event after 42 arrows. Our B.Urantungalag is taking 42th place, E. Altangerel 47th, and A.Nyamjargal 99th in women's recurve event that has been headed by S.Korean and Chinese Taipei after 42 arrows. The qualification and elimination rounds take place close to Belek from 29 September to 4 October. The beach of Belek will be home of the finals on 5-6 October. The 50th World Archery Congress was held September 27-28 in Belek just before the opening of the tournament, in which three represented Mongolia.
