Nasser bin Hamad hails HM the King's patronage

Manama, Feb. 3 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and leader of the Royal Endurance Team, expressed his appreciation of the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for endurance sports. HH Shaikh Nasser hailed His Majesty’s unlimited support that contributed to the Royal Team’s attaining the second place in Riyadh International Endurance Championship held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, pointing out it gave the team a high morale push during participation. HH Shaikh Nasser explained that the Royal Team’s attaining the second place confirms the team’s capability to compete in international events particularly in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Endurance Cup which witnessed the participation of 254 knights from 12 countries, adding that it will give the team a high moral incentive in upcoming participations. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed that the race was thrilling and special affirming the Royal Team’s keenness to participate in order to ensure the success of this event. This participation confirms the strong fraternal ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in all fields especially sports, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has proven its merit in hosting grand championship and this the debut of many endurance championships to be hosted. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the good efforts exerted by the Saudi Equestrians Federation in producing the championship in the best organizational level that reflects the Arab world’s best hosting of championships and events. He praised the hospitality and amicable reception accorded to the Royal Team throughout their stay. TV crews were keen to follow HH Shaikh Nasser in the village and monitor his impressions about participation in the highly competitive race.
