Nasser bin Hamad Showjumping Championship winners honoured

Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation "BREEF" crowned the winners of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, Showjumping Chamapionship in the presence of Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Showjumping Committee of BREEF. Abbas Yousif of Shakhoora Riding Centre won the Championship's Grand Prize race which featured two-time trial phases with obstacles of 140-130cm. Riding Indurado, the eventual victor posted a time of 55.52 seconds en route to his deserved win, followed by Basel Al Dosari (41.70) of Saar Riding School and Sami Mohammed Ghazwan (41.94) of Ghazwan Riding School. The first place winner made 4 fours, but Al Dosari and Ghazwan committed eight each. Ahmed Al Alawi of Al Alawi Stable won the second contest for the senior participants, beating Hani Al Yabis of Hawar Stables and Ahmed Akbar of Alessi Horse Pride who finished in second and third respectively. The competition included obstacles of 125-115. Al Alawi was riding Evelyn in the competition which he completed in 38.19 seconds. The first contest for the seniors was bagged by Maayof Al Romaihi who also won the first competition for youth competitors. The second contest for young participants was won by Ahmed Al Hashili.
