Nasser bin Hamad's award victory commended

Manama, Nov. 30 (BNA): Abdulrahman Askar, deputy secretary-general of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) general secretary has congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee and Captain of the Bahrain Royal Endurance team, on winning Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Sport Creativity Award as the Best Arab Team. Shaikh Nasser received this prestigious honour following his team's victory at the World Youth Endurance Championships, held in Chile in 2015. Askar said the award underlines the significant efforts exerted by Shaikh Nasser to the development of sports in Bahrain. He also hailed Shaikh Nasser’s continued follow up to the team progress at all competitions as well as motivating them to excel and help them achieve their aspirations. The BOC general secretary noted that Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Sport Creativity Award is one of the most prestigious awards on the regional, continental and international levels, as the world witnessed Shaikh Nasser’s contributions to endurance sports in Bahrain and the progress achieved in an attempt to reach international standard.
