Noshad Alamiyan finishes 4th at 2013 Asian Cup

TEHRAN,April 15(MNA)--Iran’s Noshad Alamiyan lost to Chinese Taipei’s Chuang Chih-Yuan in bronze medal match of the GAC GROUP 26th Asian Cup on Sunday. Alamiyan lost to Chuang Chih-Yuan in three straight games (11-9, 11-7, 11-3, 11-7) and failed to claim the third place. Chinese athletes Xu Xin and Liu Shiwen won the respective Men’s and Women’s titles at the GAC GROUP Asian Cup. In all Chinese finals, Liu Shiwen accounted for Wu Yang in five games (11-3, 11-6, 15-13, 3-11, 11-6) to be followed by Xu Xin overcoming Yan An in a six games duel (4-11, 11-5, 12-10, 11-9, 7-11, 11-9), ITTF reported. The competitions held at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong from April 12th to 14th. A total of 16 men and 16 women competed in the events.
