A Number of Personalities Say 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum a Beacon for Future Generations

Doha, March 30 (QNA) - A number of personalities, heads of federations and stars of Qatari and Arab sports expressed their great happiness at watching the inauguration 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, stressing that it is a real beacon for future generations, and will constitute an important incentive for Qatari athletes to redouble their efforts so that they can direct their path within the corridors of this The World Museum, tells their success stories.
Second Vice-President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahamn Al Kuwari said that the museum is a continuation of Qatari sports success. His Excellency added that the inauguration of the museum adds to Qatar's legacy after the country hosted many major sporting events. He highlighted that the reason for the museum's location inside Khalifa International Stadium because it is one of Qatar's old stadiums and represents a great legacy for many athletes in Qatar and the GCC.
Meanwhile, Aspire CEO Mohammed Khalifa Al Suwaidi said that the museum was inaugurated after Qatar hosted a number of prominent sporting events over the past few years. It is the world's second biggest sports museum by total area.
For his part, President of Qatar Tennis Federation Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khulaifi praised the efforts made to establish the museum which documents the country's sports history. He said that the presence of Bein Sports as part of the museum was a source of pride for the network.
For his part, rally racing superstar Nasser bin Saleh Al Attiyah said that the museum was a source of pride to Qatari sports, specially that it was the first of its kind and the world's second biggest by total area. He expressed his thanks to the country's wise leadership and everyone who contributed to establishing the museum, which started as a dream in 2006. The rally champion added that the museum represents the old generation and gives an opportunity to the new generation that hopes to write its name and immortalize in the corners of this international museum, and for me I feel very proud to be in this museum.
For his part, President of Qatar Chess Federation Mohamed Al Mudahka praised the efforts made to establish the museum, saying it has become one of Qatar's landmarks. He noted that it allows visitors to know Qatar's sports champions, and documents the rise of Qatar as an important destination for major sporting events.
Qatari athlete Motez Barshim meanwhile said that document sports achievements was wonderful. He added that he was delighted to see that the museum was inside Khalifa International Stadium, a place that plays an important role in Qatar's sporting history. (QNA)
