Oceania Qualifiers for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: Fiji Beat New Caledonia

Doha, March 19 (QNA) - Fiji defeated New Caledonia 2-1 on Friday at the Suheim bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar SC in Group B of the Oceania qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which includes eight teams. Sairusi Nalaubu scored for Fiji in the 11th minute but Jordan Wetria leveled the game for New Caledonia in the 76th minute. Nalaubu netted his second goal in the 86th minute to seal the victory for Fiji. First and second from each group qualify for the semi-finals, the winners will meet in the final match that will determine the representative of Oceania, who will face the representative of the CONCACAF in the continental play-off scheduled to be held in June 2022 for a seat in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
