ONE JUDOKA GRABS MEDAL IN TBILISI GRAND PRIX

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An international master of sports B.Batgerel won a bronze medal in the Tbilisi Judo Grand Prix tournament which ran last weekend in Tbilisi, Georgia. Mongolia was represented by nine judokas of the 2nd class selected team. Meanwhile, judokas of the first class team are having a joint training in the UB city with French counterparts. In the men’s 66 kg contest, our Batgerel had a bye in the first round, then defeated a Georgian, at the semi-finals he was beaten by Russian Kamal Han-Magomedov, then defeated a Georgian Tristan Peikrishvili and a Kazakh Yeldos Zhumakanov at the bronze medal match. The Grand Prix tournament was participated by 191 judokas from 24 countries.
