Ooredoo Cup Round 3 Will Witness Tough Matches

Doha, October 13 (QNA) - Al Wakrah face Al Duhail in Round 3 (Group A) of the 2020-21 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Duhail Stadium on Tuesday.
Reigning QNB Stars League champions Al Duhail are lying last in the group. They have yet to open their account, having lost 1-3 to Al Sailiya in their opener in Round 2.
Their game against Al Sadd in Round 1 was postponed owing to both teams' campaigns in the 2020 AFC Champions League.
The Red Knights will be keen to win when they take on Al Wakrah, who are second in the group with four points. The Blue Wave have the same number of points and goal difference with Qatar SC, but are placed behind having scored lesser number of goals.
Al Wakrah, who had played out a 1-1 draw with Qatar SC in Round 2, then beat Al Khor 2-1.
Al Sadd, Qatar SC, Al Khor and Al Sailiya are the other teams in the group.
Meanwhile, Al Sailiya face Al Sadd in Round 3 (Group A) of the 2020-21 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Duhail Stadium on Tuesday. Al Sailiya are fourth in the group, behind Qatar SC, Al Wakrah (both four points) and Al Khor (three points). The Peregrines have the same number of points as Al Khor, but are placed behind on goal difference (-2 as against Al Khor's +3).
Al Sailiya, who had lost 1-5 to Al Khor in Round 1, defeated reigning QNB Stars League champions Al Duhail 3-1 in Round 2.
On the other hand, Al Sadd have yet to open their account, the same as Al Duhail.
The Al Sadd against Al Duhail game in Round 1 was postponed owing to both teams' campaigns in the 2020 AFC Champions League.
The Wolves lost their game 2-3 against Qatar SC in Round 2, after leading by two goals.
Al Sadd, who will miss many of their players who are on national duty, are on a high after lifting the 2019-20 season Ooredoo Cup by beating Al Arabi 4-0 in the final played on Oct. 10.
Also, Qatar SC face Al Khor in Round 3 (Group A) of the 2020-21 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Arabi Stadium on Tuesday. The kick-off is at 19:45.
Qatar SC will definitely go into the match with their confidence sky-high after beating Al Sadd by a 3-2 margin in Round 2. The Kings battled back brilliantly after being down by two goals, with second-half substitute Kayke Rodriguez leading their challenge with two goals. Abdulaziz Adel was the other scorer.

The Knights have the same number of points (three) as Al Sailiya, but are placed ahead on better goal difference. (QNA)
