Ooredoo Cup Round 4: Al Rayyan Meet Umm Salal, Al Ahli Play Al Wakrah

Doha, November 08 (QNA) - Al Rayyan face Umm Salal in Round 4 (Group A) of the 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Wakrah Stadium on Tuesday. Al Rayyan, who did not play in the opening round, started their campaign in Round 2, but lost 0-2 to Al Ahli. Al Rayyan, coached by Frenchman Laurent Blanc, then lost 3-4 to Al Wakrah and are placed at the bottom of the group without a point. So, Al Rayyan will be keen to register their first win and open their account. On the other hand, Umm Salal have one victory (1-0 against Al Shamal in the third round) to show for their efforts. Umm Salal, under former Qatar international midfielder Wesam Rizik, had lost 0-5 to Al Wakrah in the first round and are now placed fourth in the group with three points. Al Ahli face Al Wakrah in Round 4 (Group A) of the 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup at the Al Khor Stadium on Tuesday. Al Ahli, under the tutelage of Nebojsa Jovovic, are second in the group standings with four points they collected from their 2-2 draw with Al Shamal in Round 1 and 2-0 win over Al Rayyan in the second. The Brigadiers were not in action in the third round and will look to build on the victory over Al Rayyan. Al Wakrah are topping the group table with six points. The Blue Wave beat Umm Salal 5-0 in Round 1, but crashed to a 1-2 defeat to Al Shamal in Round 2.
