Organizing Committee of the FIFA Club World Cup Announces Measures and Recommendations for Fans Safety

Doha, February 01 (QNA) - The local organizing committee of the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020 announced a number of measures and recommendations aimed at ensuring the safety of fans and their ease of transportation to the tournament stadiums, which the State of Qatar is hosting for the second time from 4 Feb. 4 to Feb. 11, 2021. The local organizing committee called on fans to use the Doha Metro to go to the competition headquarters of Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium and Education City, stressing on the importance of arriving well before the start of the matches and to adhere to physical distancing and all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic. In this context, Director of the Host Country Operations Department in the local organizing committee Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Mawlawi, affirmed the importance of good planning for the matches, and attending at least an hour ahead of time. Al-Mawlawi recommended to follow the official accounts on social media to see the latest developments and information about the road network leading to the tournament stadiums and adhere to the precautionary measures to prevent the pandemic, affirming on the organizers' keenness to ensure that all fans have an exceptional experience. He pointed out to the need of adhering to the measures to prevent the Corona virus, such as wearing masks, physical distancing, and to adhere to the directions to reach the stadium, such as showing EHTERAZ application, and avoiding congestion at the gates. " "It is expected that the Doha Metro will witness a great turnout, and in light of the implementation of physical distancing measures, we call on everyone to wait a little before heading to the metro, which will work for longer hours than usual to facilitate the departure of fans after the matches are over." he added.
