Para Cyclist Wants to Compete in ACC 2018

SEREMBAN (Negeri Sembilan), Sept 30 (Bernama) – National para cyclist Mohamad Syazwan Roshdi is keen to join the national camp at the Asian Cycling Championships (ACC) scheduled in February next year in Myanmar. The 9th ASEAN Para Games (APG KL2017) road race gold medalist in the C1, C2, C3 categories said he achieved victory despite a road accident at the Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Highway (LATAR) on Sept 7, 10 days before APG KL2017 proved he could give his best to the national team. "Actually the gold medal fires me to display myself at international level. I yearn to bring glory to the country at a higher level,” he said after receiving a visit from MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon at his residence in Lenggeng here. Apart from ACC 2018 , he also hopes to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. At the APG KL2017, Mohamad Syazwan who was born disabled won the gold medal after defeating two compatriots, Adie Raimie Amizazahan (silver) and Mohamad Yusof Hafizi Shaharuddin (bronze) in the C1,C2, C3 road race at Dataran Putrajaya. -- BERNAMA
