Qatar Bowling National Team Win Silver Medals in Trios of Egypt-Host Arab Championship

Cairo, August 16 (QNA) - Qatar Bowling National Team came second in the trios competitions of the10th edition of Men's Arab Championship, currently held in Cairo and due to run till Aug. 19 with participations from 10 Arab teams. Qatari bowlers Jassim Al Muraikhi, Mansour Al Awami and Yousef Al Jaber won silver medal in the trios while the UAE national team were crowned champions and the Omani team won bronze. Today's win brought Qatar's total colored medals to five after three medals in the singles ( 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) and a bronze medal in the doubles. In the singles, Al Jaber won gold with 1528 points, Al Muraikhi won silver with 1407 points and Al Awami got bronze with 1374 points. In doubles, Al Jaber and Al Muraikhi came third after Saudi Arabian bowlers won the gold and the UAE came second. The currently-held Arab Championship (10th edition for men and 6th for women) sees the participation of 10 national teams-- Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, the UAE, Oman, Yemen as well as hosts Egypt.
