Qatar Excels in Second Round of 2021 Qatar Off-Road Championship

Doha, October 24 (QNA) - Qatari competitors excelled in the second round of the second round of the 2021 Qatar Off-Road Championship, organized by the Qatar Automobile and Motorcycle Federation over two days in Al Kharsa, amid the distinguished participation of the most prominent local and resident drivers and riders.
The competitions witnessed participation of 35 contestants representing 13 countries besides Qatar: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, UAE, Jordan, Russia, Britain, Hungary, India, Belgium, Portugal and South Africa.
The competitions were held at the level of motorcycles and cars, where 27 motorcyclists participated and competed in three categories: 450 cc, above 450 cc, and quads, while eight competitors participated in the car competitions that were allocated to the category (T3).
The category (T3) witnessed a pure Qatari domination of the first three places, after the rider Ahmed Al Kuwari managed to win the first place in a time of 2.59.19 hours, 3.24 minutes behind his nearest competitor, Abdullah Al Khulaifi, who finished second with a time of 2.02.43 hours, while Ahmed Al Mohannadi, third place, with a time of 2.04.20 hours.
In the three motorcycle categories, the Above 450cc category witnessed Qatari rider Sheikh Mohammed Al- Thani winning the title after taking first place with a time of 2.37.20 hours, surpassing his nearest competitor, the South African racer Jaco Anderson, who ranked second with a time of 2.44. 19 hours, while the other Qatari, Abdul Rahman Al Sheeb, came in third place with a time of 2.47.23 hours.
