Qatar Football Association Organizes AFC Cup Winning Ceremony

Doha, February 04 (QNA) - Qatar Football Association (QFA) organized a reception in honor of the first Qatari team crowned with the 2019 AFC Cup, with the participation of the players of the national team and members of the technical and administrative staff, and in presence of members of the Executive Office and all members of the Association from various departments and sections. This celebration shows the values and principles of Qatar Football Association, especially that winning this tournament has reinforced the importance of teamwork, and that this achievement is great for everyone working under the umbrella of Qatar Football Association. At the beginning of the ceremony, HE QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani thanked all the members of the Association for their efforts and generosity, which resulted on winning the AFC Cup for the first time in the history of the Qatari football, noting at the same time the importance of walking in the same way to continue winning tournaments. HE added that winning the cup is the culmination of sincere and dedicated work by everyone in this system, and everyone should feel proud and happy about his great role in winning the tournament from players to managers and staff of various departments, sections and committees. HE stressed that this achievement drives us to work more, and there are many future events that require a double effort, as well as a continued constructive work leading us to achieve our goals, adding that we have to work in a team spirit, and this tournament proved that we are on the right track and that we have the ability to achieve more. For his part, Qatar team's captain Hassan Al Haydos said on behalf of the players that they are pleased with what has been achieved, especially as it drew the smile and joy on the faces of everyone and he emphasizes that this achievement came as a result of the efforts and dedication of each one, and he hopes that this achievement will serve as a catalyst for further future ambitions for Qatari football. Al Haydos added that winning the tournament came after great suffering and sacrifices, and it demonstrate the strength of the team's will and the unity of its ranks, as well as the importance of teamwork, hoping that the spirit of one team will continue to lead the Qatari team towards achieving the best in the future and in next competitions.
