Qatar Handball Association Holds Ordinary General Assembly

Doha, March 14 (QNA) - Qatar Handball Association (QHA) held Sunday its Ordinary General Assembly in the presence of QHA President Ahmed Al Shaabi and the members of the Board of Directors. It was also attended by the representative of the Qatar Olympic Committee and members of the General Assembly from representatives of the clubs. Al Shaabi congratulated the members of the General Assembly on Qatari team's win of the eighth place in the 27th World Handball Championship that was held in Egypt last January. It was an honorable achievement, he said, wishing that Qatari handball would continue its successes at various levels. The meeting discussed the agenda which included the ratification of the minutes of the previous meeting, and considered a proposal to postpone the elections of the Board of Directors, as well as an approval of the establishment of the Disciplinary Committee, and the adoption of amendments to the QHA's regulations in line with those of the International Federation. It also reviewed the final account for the fiscal year 2020, the draft estimated budget for the year 2021, the accreditation of financial auditors, in addition to appointing members to review meeting minutes.
