Qatar National Football Team Advances to 48th Place in FIFA Rankings

Doha, December 24 (QNA) - The Qatari national football team advanced from 51 to 48 in the latest FIFA rankings, to enter the list of the top 50 teams in the world after outstanding performance in the FIFA Arab Cup. The last ranking this year witnessed the Moroccan team topped the Arab Ranking at the 28th place, while the Algerian team advanced three places to become the 29th, after winning the Arab Cup title. As for the top ten, Belgium remained in the lead, Brazil runners-up, France remained third, England fourth, and Argentina fifth. The ranking also showed that the Saudi national team ranked 51st in the world, the UAE ranked 69th, and the Omani team ranked 79th. On the other hand, the Algerian national team improved its position in the world rankings, taking advantage of its victory in the last Arab Cup, to finish the year 2021 in 29th place globally, third in Africa and second in the Arab world.
