Qatar Olympic Committee President Honors Qatari Handball Team

Doha, February 16 (QNA) - HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, honored today the Qatari handball team after winning the 5th consecutive title in the 20th Asian Mens Championship which was held lately in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and their qualification for the World Championship Poland - Sweden 2023. His Excellency congratulated the national team players for the honorable results achieved during the last edition of the Asian Championship, and thanked the players, the president, members of Qatar Handball Association Board of Directors and the technical and administrative staff for their great efforts. His Excellency stressed Qatar Olympic Committee's keenness to harness all potentials that would achieve more outstanding achievements and results in the upcoming participations. Qatar handball team secured the Asian title after defeating Bahrain in the final 29/24, to win the title for the 5th time in a row, after winning the past four editions in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2018 and 2020.
