Qatar Olympic Football Team Participates in Dubai International Championship

Doha, March 20 (QNA) - Qatar's Olympic team technical staff announced the list of the participating team in the Dubai International Championship for Olympic Teams U-23 from 23 to 29 March, with the participation of 10 Arab and Asian teams, as well as a European team, namely: Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq, Japan, China, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Croatia. The tournament comes within the preparations of Qatar Olympic team to participate in the 2022 AFC U-23 Asian Cup finals in Uzbekistan next June. The tournament is the best preparation for the teams participating in the continental tournament where Qatar Olympic team comes in Group A with Uzbekistan, Iran, and Turkmenistan. The tournament will be held in three rounds, with each team playing the first and second rounds, on March 23 and 26, while the third round will be held on March 29 between the teams with the highest points in the preliminary round, with the winners qualifying for the next round.
