Qatar SC Win HH the Amir Table Tennis Championship

Doha, October 13 (QNA) - Qatar SC won HH the Amir Table Tennis Championship for the third time in a row and fourth in their history following a 3-1 victory over Al Sadd at Abdullah bin Suhaim Hall on Monday. Qatar SC won the gold medals and the first place financial award of QR100,000, while Al Sadd received the second-place silver medals and a financial award of QR60,000. President of the Qatari and Arab Table Tennis Federations Khalil Al Mohannadi, who is also First Vice President of the International and Asian Table Tennis Federations, crowned the winners in the presence of HE Qatar Olympic Committee First Vice-President Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al-Thani, HE Vice President of Qatar SC Sheikh Suhaim bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, and Qatar SC's head of table tennis team Khaled Al Kuwari, who also received the shield of general excellence after the team's success in winning the league title and achieving good results in the age groups competitions for the 2019-2020 season. Qatar SC succeeded in winning the title for the third time in a row, and the fourth in its history after achieving it in 2002, 2018, and 2019, while they were the runners-up on four occasions. (QNA)
