Qatar Swimming Association Continues Preparations for Opening Round of Marathon Swim World Series 2021

Doha, March 07 (QNA) - The Qatar Swimming Association continues its preparations to host Leg 1 of the FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series 2021 at Katara beach on March 13. The 10km race will witness the participation of 99 of the best swimmers in the world from 27 countries. The Qatar Swimming Association will organize the event by following all precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of Public Health and the official authorities in the country for the safety of the athletes and all participants. Doha, which hosted a World Series round in 2018 for the first time, is preparing to host the 2023 World Aquatics Championships, and hosting the Leg 1 of the FINA/CNSG Marathon Swim World Series 2021 is a great opportunity to gain experiences in hosting such events. This year's Marathon championship includes eight rounds. Qatar will host the first round on March 13, while the second round will be held in Seychelles on May 9, the third round in Hungary on June 12, and the fourth round in Portugal on June 19. Canada will host the fifth and sixth rounds on July 25 and August 7, Macedonia will host the seventh round on August 28, and Taipei will host the eighth round on September 11. (QNA)
