Qatar Team Qualifies for 2022 IHF Beach Handball World Championships

Tehran, March 26 (QNA) - The Qatari mens beach handball team has qualified on Saturday for 2022 IHF Beach Handball World Championship, which will be held in Greece next June, that came after a convincing 2-0 victory over Vietnam in the fourth round match of the eighth Asian Men's Beach Handball Championship currently going on in Irans capital city of Tehran. Saturday's victory was Qatar's team fourth win on row, that helped them to collect 8 points and book their place in 2022 IHF Beach Handball World Championships, regardless of their result in upcoming games against hosts Iran. Besides hosts Iran and defending champions Qatar, Oman, Vietnam, the Philippines, and India are participating in the event. Teams securing the top two positions in the continental event will qualify for the World Championships in Greece. Qatar won the championship title in China in 2019, after defeating Oman 2-0 in the final match. (QNA)
