QBF President Congratulates Al Gharafa for Claiming Men's Basketball League Title

Doha, January 25 (QNA) - President of the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) Ahmed Al Muftah congratulated Al Gharafa team for winning the Qatar Men's Basketball League title for the 2020/2021 sports season, saying that the growing improvement of the level of clubs and the emergence of new teams to the podium is a healthy phenomenon that serves the first team. In a press statement, Al Muftah said that the final match of the general league was strong and distinct from the technical point of view, adding that the two teams played a big match and Al Gharafa managed to win the title after playing well. He added that the match highlighted many young talents that would support the national team in the upcoming tournaments, and be the best supporter in light of the replacement and substitution phase that the national team is experiencing in the current period. Al Muftah pointed out that most of the league's matches were technically distinctive, hoping that this trend would continue in the competitions of Qatar Cup and HH the Amir Cup during the coming period. He praised the efforts made by the basketball family and all employees of the federation in organizing tournaments of this season in light of the difficult conditions that the world is experiencing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as everyone was keen to organize the matches in a successful and distinctive manner, whether at the technical or organizational level. The QBF President wished all the teams success in Qatar Cup and HH the Amir Cup which are held at the end of the current season, expressing his hope that all teams will succeed in making great efforts in order to improve the Qatari basketball.
