QCA President Praises International Cricket Bilateral Series Championship Success

Doha, January 26 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA), Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, praised the great success achieved by the International Cricket Bilateral Series Championship. His Excellency expressed in statements today, his happiness with the positive results achieved by the Afghan national team during the international bilateral series hosted by Doha. QCA president said that Doha was able to organize the event in exceptional circumstances after the Afghan team chose Qatar to host its matches, noting that the Afghan team had set up a successful preparatory camp in Doha, during which it played a number of friendly and preparatory matches against the first Qatari cricket team, along with playing friendly matches with local clubs was the perfect preparation for the international tournament. "The Afghan national team succeeded in winning the three matches it played against the Dutch national team and deserved the victory and the positive results it achieved in the strong competition." QCA president added. "Qatar has succeeded in organizing many international tournaments, and hosting the bilateral tournament is an extension of previous successes in Doha organizing for major international competitions." QCA President concluded. The Afghan national team won the three matches it played in Doha against Dutch team, where it won the first match with a score of 222-186, the second match with a score of 237-189, and then managed to achieve the third victory with a score 252-179, with total of 60 points after achieving the full mark through the matches played at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium in Doha.
