QNB Stars League: Al Arabi Announces Mehrdad Mohammadi's Departure

Doha, September 05 (QNA) - Al Arabi FC announced Monday parting ways with Iranian winger Mehrdad Mohammadi after signing Brazilian Rafael Alcantara for two seasons. Leaders of the current season of the QNB Stars League with 12 points to their credits expressed their appreciation for Mohammadi's efforts with the team over the past period, via the club's official media channels. The Iranian winger who joined Al Arabi FC in Aug. 2020 helped Al Arabi finish fourth in the previous season, securing an AFC Champions League spot in the coming edition. This season, Mohammadi appeared in only two games including Week 2 match against Al Rayyan where he netted a goal in his side's 2-1 victory. Al Arabi will play Tuesday with Al Sailiya in both sides' Week 6 games at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club. (QNA)
