QNB Stars League: Al Sadd, Qatar SC Coaches Admit Difficulty of Tomorrow's Match

Doha, January 06 (QNA) - Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia said today ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 13 match against Qatar SC that the next match comes at a really difficult moment for us, as the club have many players outside the squad, some of them were injured with the national team in the FIFA Arab Cup, and some joined their countries on national duty. "I think all teams can be in this situation, to play a game every three or four days, that's very difficult, I don't like complaining about players we don't have, but in this case, I have to talk about it, it's a really difficult thing for me. Yet, we will try to do our best to win. We prefer to focus on the next match, I think it will be very difficult with the situation we are going through", he added. "The recent results of Qatar SC were not good, but they competed well. I think that they have a very organized team and they have good players like Javi Martinez, a player I know well, and he is from my city, and he played in the best teams in Spain and Europe." said Gracia. Al Sadd player Tareq Salman said, "A difficult match awaits us against Qatar SC and this is what happened also in the first leg, where it was very difficult. Qatar SC were very strong competitors in the first half, but we controlled the match in the second half and took advantage of it. The whole team is very enthusiastic and optimistic, our goal is to stay in the lead and not lose any game and provide the same distinguished level as it happened in the previous matches." For his part, Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri said: "Yes, the results were negative in the last two matches, although we had the advantage in terms of possession and creating opportunities, but unfortunately we did not succeed in achieving victory, and in general the team is moving at a steady pace and I have great confidence in the players in achieving results. Better and more effective performance is needed, and therefore our work and the effort made by the players and all members of the technical and administrative staff deserves positive results." "We must always be ready by adapting to the pressure of the matches efficiently, and everyone within the team’s family knows that the next match is against the champions and Al Sadd is a big club and a team that includes the best local and international players and have great potential." he added "In matches of this kind, it is therefore important to be fit physically and mentally, and we are all enthusiastic to provide the level and get satisfactory result for us and the fans, especially since everyone is ready to play and compensate with enthusiasm, confidence and focus," said Safri.
