Saipa striker Karim Ansarifard named IPL top scorer

TEHRAN,May 13(MNA) – Saipa striker Karim Ansarifard was named as top scorer of the Iran Professional League (IPL). Ansarifard scored a goal against Sanat Naft on Friday and took his tally to 21 in the current season of IPL. Malian Sanat Naft striker Founeke Sy came second with 20 goals and Reza Enayati of Saba finished in third place, scoring 18 goals. “I am happy to become the top scorer of IPL. I came third last season but eventually succeeded to win the prize. I owe this achievement to my teammates and the Saipa officials,” the 22-year-old said. Sepahan won the title of the IPL on Friday.
