SC Celebrates Graduation of Security Leaders for World Cup 2022

Doha, December 27 (QNA) - The Security Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) celebrated today the graduation of the members of the program of training the security leaders for the World Cup 2022, at the Officers Club of the General Directorate of Civil Defense. The training course lasted for 15 weeks and attended by 100 officers who will participate in the World Cup 2022. Brigadier Ibrahim Khalil Al Mohannadi, Head of Advisory Unit at the Security Committee, stressed the importance of this program in developing and refining the skills of officers involved in securing sports facilities in preparation for organizing the World Cup 2022. Brigadier Al-Mohannadi said that the program aims at qualifying a cadre of Qatari officers to lead the tasks of securing sports facilities for World Cup matches. They were selected according to strict security standards and are trained according to the latest training systems that meet the requirements of the FIFA. He said that the State of Qatar always invests in human capital as a decisive factor in defining the features of societies and the future of its members, stressing that knowledge in this era of the most important sources of power as the main drive towards the sustainable development of States. Brigadier Ibrahim Khalil Al Mohannadi added that the training programs of the Security Committee of the 2022 World Cup cadres are of a high standard, efficient and in conformity with international standards and guided by the universal principles of human rights, including practical training in attending international sports events, where the bronze level program is designed to match the size of the responsibilities and the needs of leaders at various levels in securing the World Cup, wishing the graduates success in their security tasks. He noted the importance of this program, which targets 400 officers. It was designed to be multi-stage and will continue until 2022, and includes practical training to attend international sporting events. He pointed out that the security committee, in cooperation with its supporting bodies, in this area, had made efforts to confirm the leading role of the State in the systematic organization and planning of such large events and harnessing their financial and human potential effectively, he said.
