SCYS Secretary-General highlights Bahraini youth sector's achievements

Manama, Aug. 11 (BNA): Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, has asserted that the celebration of the International Youth Day provides a good opportunity to highlight the great achievements of the youth sector in the kingdom during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era. These accomplishments are the outcome of HM the King’s directives of empower Bahraini youth, and the result of the unwavering support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for programmes that engage Bahraini youth in the kingdom’s comprehensive development process, he said. In a statement marking the International Youth Day, Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim affirmed that the kingdom has made major strides in empowering youth and consolidating their vital roles in the modern state. He paid tribute to HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for his forward-looking vision and keenness to pave the way for Bahraini youth to carry out their national duties to the fullest, by giving them full confidence to assume leadership positions in the public and private sectors and to give them the opportunity to innovate and spread the spirit of creativity and unlimited giving. He indicated that Bahrain is leading the way in involving its youth in international efforts aimed at strengthening solidarity among young people around the world.
