SEA Games: Four Games Records Drown At The National Aquatic Centre

PUTRAJAYA (Malaysia), Aug 22 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry on Monday signed the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) to strengthen integrity and to curb abuse of power and corruption among its staff. The signing was led by the ministry’s secretary-general Ramlan Ibrahim and witnessed by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner (Operations) Azam Baki. Ramlan said the ministry, being at the forefront of international relations, needed to have staff who were honest, trustworthy and disciplined. "This is also to keep the good name and image of the country and government. The ministry is aware of the fact that there is room for improvement to enhance integrity, accountability and the work culture among the staff to a level of excellence," he said in his speech at the signing ceremony, here. At the event, Ramlan who registered as a member of the MACC Anti-Corruption Revolution Movement (Gerah), encouraged all the ministry’s staff to also join the movement and contribute ideas and spread the anti-corruption message to the whole community. -- BERNAMA
