Sheikh Joaan Meets International Judo Federation President

Doha, January 12 (QNA) - HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, met on Tuesday with International Judo Federation president Marius Vizer who is currently visiting Doha to attend The Masters Judo Championship competitions / Doha 2021. During the meeting, they reviewed sports cooperation between the two parties and means of developing and boosting them. HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani welcomed the president of the International Judo Federation, noting to the fruitful and deep relations between the two Qatari and International Federations. HE thanked the International Federations as well for the significant roles it plays in developing the game and increasing its popularity around the world, affirming that Qatar will continue supporting Judo sport at all the levels, in close cooperation with the international Judo Federation. In turn, Vizer expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Doha and the meeting of Qatari sports officials, praising the international sporting status of Qatar, and the organizational and technical level of the master’s Judo Championship held at The Lusail Gym.
