Spain's Aleix ESPARGARO and France's Fabio Quartararo Win Pre-season Tests in Qatar

Doha, March 08 (QNA) - Spain's Aleix ESPARGARO and France's Fabio Quartararo exchanged wins in the two days of pre-season tests in preparation for the new season 2021 of the MotoGP World Championship. The two-day pre-season winter tests are hosted by Qatar at the Lusail International Circuit. The winter test event was supposed to start in Malaysia last February, but the spread of the pandemic there prompted the organizing committee of the MotoGP championship to cancel it and reduce it to five days in Qatar during March 2021: starting from March 6 to March 7, and on Match 10, 11 and 12. On the first day of the winter tests, Spaniard Alex Espargaro at Aprilia team managed to achieve the fastest lap time, after covering a distance of 64.6 km in a time of 1:54,678 minutes, beating German Stefan Bradl at Honda team who finished second, while Spain's Joan Mir finished third. On the second day, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo at Monster Yamaha scored the fastest lap time, after recording a time of 1:63.940 minutes ahead of Australian Jack Miller at Ducati Team who finished second, while Spaniard Aleix ESPARGARO at Aprilia team came in third place.
