Stage Set for HH the Amirs Sword Showjumping Championship

Doha, February 15 (QNA) - The Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation announced today the completion of the arrangements for the lunch of the HH the Amirs sword show-jumping championship, which will be held over three consecutive days in the Federations external and internal fields in Al Rayyan, starting Thursday. The tournament includes many showjumping rounds at different heights and for different age groups in 3 competitions (show jumping, dressage, and future riders). The championship will start on its first day with a technical examination of the horses participating in showjumping, in addition to dressage competitions that start with the first level and the prize of 40 thousand riyals, followed by the second level competitions with prizes of 25 thousand riyals. The jumping competitions will start on the second day of the championship with three rounds, the first small round at a height of 100 - 115 cm, followed by the medium at a height of 120 - 135 cm, and then the grand round at a height of 135 - 145 cm. On the final day of the championship, the competitions start with the minor round, followed by the major for the sword title and prize of 65,000 riyals, plus a car awarded to the first-place holder, then two rounds for future riders, and the competitions conclude with the medium round, whose prize of 45,000 riyals and a car awarded to the first place holder. As part of its preparation for organizing this big event, the Federation announced the sponsorship of the companies: Vodafone - Qatar, Al Emadi Enterprises - Al Hazm, Baladna Food Industries, and Abdullah Abdulghani & Brothers, for the championship, which is the largest competition organized by the Federation in terms of prizes, and heights.
