The Supreme Committee Highlights Strong Demand for the Amir Cup Final Tickets

Doha, December 15 (QNA) - The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) said Monday that there was strong demand for the Amir Cup final. The match will see Al Sadd and Al Arabi play the final of Al Rayyan Stadium, the fourth stadium of World Cup 2022. Communications Director at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Fatma Al Nuaimi said that demand for tickets has risen greatly recently, noting that the presence of Al Sadd and Al Arabi was a main reason behind the increase. She added that the other factor was the inauguration of Al Rayyan stadium on Qatar's National Day. Al Nuaimi said that raising the capacity allowed to attend the final to 50 percent of the stadium's capacity was thanks to the State of Qatar's success in hosting many sporting events in the past period while maintaining the precautionary measures. She said that there will be a number of events accompanying the final, along with a ceremony inaugurating the stadium. She also said that a number of prominent sports personalities will attend like FIFA President Gianni Infantino, UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, and AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. Al Nuaimi said that the committee placed precautionary measures that will be appropriate for the competition, while keeping in mind the lessons learned from hosting other events. She noted that the increase in the number of fans reflects the success of the implemented health measures. She added that Qatar's hosting of a number of regional and international sporting events reflects the country's commitment to sports and the strength of its World Cup 2022 preparations. She said that 90 percent of projects related to the World Cup are complete, with the remaining World Cup stadiums set to be inaugurated in 2021. She concluded by saying that constructing Al Rayyan Stadium helped in completing projects related to Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly the ones related to transport and infrastructure. (QNA)
