Sweden Beat Qatar in 2021 World Men's Handball Championship

Cairo, January 27 (QNA) - Qatar missed the opportunity to qualify for the 2021 World Men's Handball Championship following a 35-23 loss to Sweden on Wednesday in Cairo. The Qatari team was also eliminated from the quarter-finals in the 2017 France World Men's Handball Championship. The Qataris were the runners-up in the 2015 World Men's Handball Championship. Qatar qualified for the quarterfinals after coming in the second place of Group B of the main round after defeating Bahrain and Argentina, while losing to Denmark. Also, defending world champions Denmark needed a double extra-time and a penalty shoot-out to beat host nation Egypt 39-38. (QNA)
